* Inspection should be done by a car dealer.

* Call (419-627-7626) or visit the Erie County Clerk of Courts (Title Department), 247 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH, 44870. Give them the name of the lien holder and the vehicle I.D. number. They will write for a copy of the lien. A fee, payable in cash, is required for this service.

* After they have received a copy of the lien, they will issue an Ohio Title and send the original to the bank. You will also receive a copy of the title.

* Take the copy of the title to the Deputy Registrar's Office, Stevenson's License Bureau at 3407 Milan Road, to purchase your plates.
